Pre-Ballet
I/II - A pre-ballet class for students 4.5 to 6 years
old. Pre-Ballet introduces children to the structure of a ballet technique
class at a developmentally appropriate pace integrating creative dance
and ballet technique. (1 hour/ 1 class per week)
Ballet
IIA - A beginner ballet class for children 6 to 7 years
old. (1 hour/ 1 class per week)
Ballet
IIB - A beginner ballet class for children 7 to 9 years
old. (1.5 hours/ 2 classes per week)
Ballet
III - A beginning intermediate ballet class for students
10 to 12. Ballet III establishes fundamental ballet technique focusing
on placement, strength, and flexibility. Students prepare for pointe
work. (1.5 hours/2 classes per week)
Ballet
IV - An intermediate/advanced ballet class for students
13 and older. Students develop a more advanced vocabulary of movement,
further refine their technique and integrate personal artistic expression
into their established technique. Pointe work required.
Jazz
I - An introduction
to jazz technique for students 4 to 6 years old. (1 hour/1
class per week)
Jazz
II - A jazz
technique class for students 7 to
10 years old. Jazz is a stylized and technical dance
form that teaches isolation and synchrony. (1 hour/1 class per
week)
Jazz
III - An advanced/intermediate
jazz class for students 11 and older. Students begin to integrate basic
jazz technique with more complicated and stylized combinations and choreography.
(1 hour/1 class per week)
Stretch & Strengthening - An exercise class for adults that integrates Pilates-based cores strengthening, the use of therabands, balance balls, and yoga-based stretching for total body conditioning.
Adult/Teen Ballet - A beginning ballet class for students with limited or no prior experience in ballet. The class is geared for recreational students who have a desire for a technical understanding of ballet fundamentals.
